New Music Video by director Keith Schofield
Posted June 26th, 2008 by Basanostra
I found a broken link at wooster collective to a great music video. But like I said...it was broken...so I tried to find the original and stumbled upon Keith Schofield who already did music videos for Death Cab for Cutie, The Notwist, Supergrass and a lot more. The video I was looking for is for the song "Toe Jam" by "The Brighton Port Authority". So just go to Keith Schofield´s website or click the direct link and enjoy a high quality version of one of the hottest youtube clips right now!

Can´t wait to see that movie in theatres around europe. Surfwise shows us the life of Dorian "Doc" Paskowitz, who left his mediacal practice to start travelling and surfing all around the world - together with his wife, their nine children and a 24 foot camper! Makes my wanderlust rise already now! Check the side where you can find info, trailers and more than ten webclips.

Madlib Mix - Free Download
Posted May 15th, 2008 by Basanostra
Thats a nice way to react on a bootleg. Stones Throw says: " This was a bootleg mix CD made from audio downloaded at KCRW.com. Madlib did not profit from this CD and did not authorize it. If you would like to download the full 60 min. mix and make your own CD, be our guests:" Get it here

Album cover by Thomas Cambpell
Really nice interview on ViceTV with artist Thomas Campell who did the great surf movies "The Seedling" and "Sprout". At the same time he is one of my favorite painters and photographers. See the interview here, have a look at the New York Times article "The swell life" and definitely check out the latest trailer to his upcoming new surfmovie "The present".

Curtis Hillman
Posted April 4th, 2008 by Basanostra
Today I found a link to the webclip about Stephan Sagmeister at swissmiss that you can watch here. After watching it I had a look at the other clips Hillman did and I am really impressed how intense clips he makes while keeping the way of producing them totally simple. Definitely worth to take a closer look at his website. The picture is the cover for his book "MTIV: Making the Invisible Visible: Process, Inspiration and Practice for the New Media Designer".
Jay Z and Marvin Gaye
Posted April 4th, 2008 by BasanostraI found this one some months ago and just passed it to a friend and thought why not to put it on my blog as well. Really good mix album by "Shoku & The Gunna", bringing together the legendary soul man Marvin Gaye and Hip Hop grandfather Jay Z. Enjoy!
